Kings of B’more is incredibly well written. R Eric Thomas really captures the banter of teenaged boys while keeping it appropriate for younger audiences and I love that the boys happen to be black and queer. It could have easily been written about a straight white couple, but….diversity!! I can relate to the boys hanging out in the cemetery, too. Cemeteries are often the calmest places in a big city. I grew up in a small town and would often walk through the old cemeteries looking at graves and imagining how some of those people lived or died. It was one of my moms favorite activities when I was tiny and I guess it caught on!! I kind of thought we were the only ones.
