This is a really lovely story, focusing on two friends in Baltimore. Prior to the pandemic, I always captured a travel bug whenever I read books with a compelling setting; for the last two years, though, I haven’t felt like traveling at all. R. Eric Thomas flipped my travel switch back on with his stellar writing and the way he captured Baltimore — I’m itching to finish this story and visit the places in the pages.
