I think the excerpt was well written and the plot does move a good pace. However, I am not particularly interested in the plot of this story. It follows three English sisters who were previous concubines to a war lord. I think it would be fascinating to see how the sister's live develop following such interesting beginnings, but ultimately, this book is not for me.
