The synopsis plays up the romance a lot, but the first page alone makes me not the biggest fan of the two characters we're supposed to be cheering for. Penrod is already thinking about how he's going to tell Amber she needs to not talk about certain aspects of her past. Not to mention the fact that the author makes a big deal of the fact she's lived in an African Harem.... but she's white, blonde hair, and blue eyed? And referring to her as an "object of fascination" while looking at her through the eyes of Penrod.... I do hope she leaves him and goes on a huge adventure. And I hope she never gets back with him.
