I love historical novels and this one is no exception. We start with newly engaged Amber and Penrod. He is a famous soldier. She is an author with an exciting memoir. She was captured and taken to the harem of Osman Atalan along with her sister Rebecca. Rebecca became Osman's lover and persuaded him that Amber was too young. A daring escape was made and Amber and her twin sister Saffron escaped and married Ryder Courtney. Agatha was a woman in love with Penrod and she lied to Amber and Amber broke the engagement. We are left wondering if Amber and Penrod get back together.
