I’m going to pass on this one. I can’t get into the tone of the book at all. It sounds like a young adult romance novel from the 1980s with some sexual references. Some of the descriptions are hilarious and cringe-inducing at the same time (e.g., “her figure was youthfully slim yet womanly”... “had the blonde hair and blue eyes of an angel on a Christmas postcard”... slipped on marble tiles because her “fashionable little boots betrayed her.”) I probably would have read a story like this once upon a time, but my reading tastes are vastly different now.
