The cover was as different as I thought the first look was. The first few paragraphs really didn't draw me into the book, although it reminded me a bit of the Pretty Woman because it had a former member of a harem.
I do like some historical fiction, but only when it tells a really good story about events from the past. This really isn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure it will appeal to other readers.
