Kill Her Twice was my first read by Stacey Lee but it surely won’t be my last! Seriously kicking myself for never picking up her work before recently.

First off, this cover is gorgeous and really caught my eye. I’m absolute sucker for beautiful books so thats what made me want to pick this one up in the first place. I don’t always love historical books, this was actually the first book based in the 1930s that I’ve read but Stacey Lee is an artist with when it comes to her writing style and creating a vivid picture. I found it so easy to picture everything happening in this Young Adult Mystery. When it comes to the characters I found the sisters were relatable and likable. Plus the verbiage was true to the time period. Not gonna lie, I giggled the first time I saw hussies because it’s been so long since I’ve seen it in a book. Freaking loved it!

The mystery of this story is what happened to Lulu?! Everything points to a murder coverup but the police don’t seem to care whatsoever. Do the Chow sisters - May, Gemma, and Peony - settle for that? Nope, they take matters into their own hands and I was freaking here for it! I loved the twists and turns, from beginning to end it kept my attention!

I would recommend Kill Her Twice to anyone who enjoys Asian literature, mysteries and historical YA!
