May and Gemma Chow are sisters who sell flowers as their father is unable to at the moment. One day, they decide to go to an expensive area in Los Angeles and sell their flowers for way more than what they usually do. Surprisingly, they make a good amount of money that they usually aren't able to achieve with their low prices, but today was a great day.

When they get home, they find May's former classmate, Lulu Wong, dead. Lulu Wong is a famous star from Chinatown. Who could have done this to Lulu? This doesn't look good for the people in Chinatown as it looks like one of their might have done it. In general, the city wants to put a train stop in Chinatown, which will definitely change the area. It will push those currently living there out of Chinatown.

This cannot happen and the Chow sisters are upset over Lulu's death. They know there's foul play and that the LAPD is corrupt. Instead of waiting for answer from the LAPD, May and Gemma decide to take matters in their own hand.

Who really killed Lulu Wong? What was their motive? Will Chinatown be healed from this tragedy?

I love everything that Stacey Lee writes, but I did think parts of this book was a little too long. that didn't bother me so much though as I enjoyed the dual POVs that this book provided and I love the adventures that both May and Gemma took together and on their own. One thing I do have to point out is that the book looks like it's been "ruined," but that's actually the artwork of the book. I got fooled by this detail and when I received the book, I thought it did get ruined in transit, but it really didn't. I can't see this detail on the online images of this book cover.
