I really enjoyed reading Kill Her Twice by Stacey Lee. May, Gemma, and Peony Chow are wonderful characters. Stacey Lee did a good job of fully developing all of the characters and the dialogue between them is fantastic. The sisters work together (and sometimes secretly on their own) to solve the mystery of Lulu Wong's death. Themes of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are all part of Kill Her Twice. The Chow family is a wonderful family struggling with traditional roles and the lives their daughters want to pursue. The Chow sisters were full of energy and were not afraid to take risks when they felt strongly they were doing the right thing. The love the Chow family members had for one another was endearing. I enjoyed learning more about the life of Chinese Americans in California in the 1930's through the Chow family and their community.
