It's like watching an Old Hollywood Noir Film!!
The moment I started reading, I was transported into a sepia tone world. All the noir elements are in the first 50 pages (which is a lot to do).
I am already in LOVE with this beautiful world that Stacey Lee has created. The preview ended with just enough information to leave me wanting more. Old Hollywood noir is a genre that NEEDS to make a comeback.
The mystery genre, as well as the young adult genre has been missing something noir-esque for a long time and now this could be the book needed to allow this type of story to make its long awaited return.
I can visualize the characters easily. The setting descriptions paint a picture of old school L.A.
