I like the premise and the cover is absolutely gorgeous. Murder mysteries usually draw me in quickly, but this it took me a few chapters to warm up to this one. It reads a bit like a middle-grade, what with the first person POV, a point of view notoriously hard to write in. I do like the setting of this book, Chinatown in the 30s, and I like the dynamic of the Chow sisters, and their family as a whole. This seems like a really promising read!
