I really enjoyed the style, the cadence and the fantastic descriptions of feelings. For example: "The word murder slithered around my head like a water eel among the lotuses". Or "...holding myself as tight as a trussed duck". And my favorite: "... mad as a boiled owls...". Love that one. Most of the time you get generic feelings, like: sad, angry, happy. Boring.
The sisters Gemma and Mays are figuring out life. Yet, always there for each other. Now mix in the murder of May's good friend, and the adventure begins. This promises to be a real good read.
