This excerpt pulled me right in.
It’s set in the 1930’s and we meet the Chow sisters. They sell flowers for their father in Chinatown. And in this scene they have decided to go to the ritzy part of town and try to sell the flowers, at a big markup, to the wealthy.
I like the characters already. They’re clever. I think they’ll get themselves into some trouble in this book and I think it’ll be entertaining and that they rise to the top.
