This book is unlike anything I've ever read, and for that reason, I probably won't read this book either. The protagonist uses a lot of language that makes me wince. Multiple words for male and female anatomy have been utilized in a variety of contexts. Everything is "mad" something, like "mad suspect" or "mad loud."

I'm not sure who the audience is for this book, but it's not me. I wouldn't give it to a young person because of the language choice. Given the challenge to white people contained within its pages, I don't think it's supposed to be read by us. I hope whoever the target audience is that it reaches them, because Juliet's journey seems like it will be a good one.
