I really liked the narration of Juliet, who I found a believable and endearing protagonist. She's smart and scared at the same time, feels insignificant but thinks she can change the world, and wants love and support from her family even as she is moving towards being an independent woman.
I would definitely read the rest of this book to find out about the rest of her journey, and to see how the author further explores the themes of sexuality, identity, family, and coming - of - age.
