I wanna make feminist, power-lesbian mixtapes, too
This is the book that people are going to talk about when we talk about representation. A fat, Puerto Rican, lesbian feminist is so much representation that my little heart cannot handle it. I, too, didn't come out to my family until I was older and that feeling of dread and simultaneous anticipation at finally being free is such a relatable feeling and it is described so well in that first chapter. I cannot wait to read more. I also would love to go live in the land of gay hippy-dippy intersectional feminists in Oregon / Washington and I can see all the parts of this book that I could personally relate to my own life. oh, such as the book 'Cunt' which I also bought just to freak people out with the cover. Thinking about one of my favorite feminist writers, Roxane Gay, and the power that I would feel if I got to meet her. I'm so excited for this book, and I cannot wait for other people to know about this one.
