A Young Adult Book for the teen looking for a character like them

I am always a supporter of books that allows kids and teens to see characters that are like them. Whether that means incorporating different race, gender, or sexual orientation - representation is so important! With the first look of this book, that was the first thing I noticed. This main character was not like most characters in books and that was my first sign that this book deserves a chance!
