So far every book of hers that I have read has fallen short of my expectations. I receive a lot of ARCs and I've swapped for some of hers just to get others out of the house, mainly because people seem to think that she's a popular author. The stories, in the past, have not seemed to be very tightly woven or are based on something that requires too much suspension of disbelief - complete implausibility, which really kills any interest I have in the story. After reading the first look on this one, it at least seems better written, more detailed, than previous versions of her works. I'd probably give it a shot based on the first look, but only if I somehow managed to get it for free. I've been burned too many times on this author to be willing to pay for one of her works. That being said, this preview looks better than most - strong hook, decent setting.
