With the tag line "Some killers can't be tamed.." Judas Horse promises to be a gripping ride full of crime and mayhem... And delivers!

In this latest installment in the Detective's series, a series of burglaries in the Cotswolds have put the high end residents on edge. Their homes are being ransacked, their neighbors terrorized, and most importantly, their privacy is being violated. The heists turn violent when a young man with autism is beaten, and then turn deadly when a local man is found mutilated.

Jack Warr is sent from London to help stop the gang's reign. While his appearance on the case ruffles some feathers, he is determined to stop the criminals once and for all. He uncovers secrets, and crimes, the locals wish would stay hidden forever. Detective Warr will stop at nothing until he gets his criminal, regardless of who might get hurt, himself included.

Lynda La Plante has struck gold with Detective Jack Warr! In this second installment, we see Jack has come to terms with his familial history and uses it to his advantage. Still not one for rules, Jack has come more into himself in this book. Overall, I found myself absorbed by this book and staying up at all hours to finish it. Well done!

Now we wait for number three...
