Thank you to Bookish First, the publishing company, and the author for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Let's start with the cover and the title. The use of the color red against the shattering of glass matches the plot perfectly. The significance of the phrase judas horse related directly to the plot by seeking, capturing, taming, releasing and leading to the culprits of the crimes.

This book pulls the reader in from the start. The reader is introduced to the crime and then to the main character, Detective Jack Warr. The reader is taken for a wild ride of crime, mystery, suspense, and detective work. Jack is a likeable character, the reader is rooting for him.

This book is the second written by the author about the detective. While you do not have to read the first book to enjoy Judas Horse, you will find that you want to read it!
