This story opens up describing two brother playing around The Cleveland Nature Reserve. One of the boys ends up being attacked by a corpse-like monster. The book then goes on to describe the main character, Jack Warr, and his team of detectives. Though I'm not usually a huge fan of thrillers and detective stories, I found it quite interesting to read the action scenes of how the detectives caught the culprits. I'm also interested in seeing how the boys' accident would be related to Jack and his investigations. All in all, this seems like a great start to a thriller, and it would be something I'd be willing to try!
