I have read book in this genre, but I think I'll pass on this for a couple reason.
For one, it's the second in a series where I haven't read the first book. I'm not a huge fan of police procedurals. And, I've attempted to read prior books/different series by this author, and I just couldn't get into it. As a result, I'm hesitant to give this author's books another try. Nothing about the cover or blurb convinces me otherwise.
