Jo & Laurie is a super cute retelling of the plot of Little Women. I loved how Jo experiences writer's block throughout the story and is constantly looking for inspiration. I will say that the romance was pretty redundant of the original story. The writing was a little tiresome also. I just don't think I'm a fan of De La Cruz's writing style at all. It's pretty monotonous. The characters were well thought out though, and the overall story was a quick and fun read. I definitely recommend this one if you loved the movie that recently came out. It was a typical romantic comedy plot with fun and lovable characters and I totally have a secret crush on Jo March.
