I want to start this review by saying I have never read or seen Little Women. I went into this story blind, without reading the synopsis. Jo & Laurie follows Jo March after she writes Little Women and must write a sequel. This story is told between the two volumes of Little Women.
Maybe it is because I didn’t know the characters very well, but I had a really hard time concentrating and even caring about this book. My mind would wonder to other things and I would have to reread chapters and I still felt like the pages dragged. I had to text a friend who I was buddy reading this with about Laurie and Teddy only to find out they were the same person. I felt like nothing happened in this book and it wasn’t for me. I hate writing reviews like this but I hate reading books like this more.
