I so wanted to love this book. I mean I love Little Women so much I read it every year, and own the recent movie. I just thought this was going to be one of my favorite books!
However after reading this I learned some classics shouldn't have retellings. I mean to say some just don't need it. While this retelling was okay I personally just didn't like the changes and wanted the original.
I think if your just a lukewarm fan of Little Women, or maybe never have read it you'd be thinking this was really good. But diehard Little Women fans will be of two camps the love it or hate it. For me it's the latter. But I am glad I read it, and I will be gifting the book to my local school because I have a feeling it might be checked out quite a bit.
