The book starts in 1868 where Jo March submits her novel about her family to her publisher. The publisher states the title should be Little Women. Jo is aghast when that title is suggested. She gives her two cents and moves on begrudgingly because she needs the money. One year later the book unfolds in Little Women becoming a success! Jo is challenged by her family on why she wrote the book the way she did? Does everyone deserve a happy ending?
The book captured me at the first page because I love Little Women so much. It made me think of questions such as who did Jo end up with? Why did she nickname her mom Marmee? Also what if her sister lived? Im excited to dive in further and see if my questions were answered.
