I was hesitant and skeptical about reading this excerpt at first especially because there are a few changes from book canon but I found that "Jo&Laurie" is well-written and makes for a promising retelling of Jo and Laurie's adventures we didn't see in the books. Immediately from the prologue, I was back into their world, as Jo's stubbornness and strong-willed personality shine through the pages.
"Jo & Laurie" is for fans of the book/movie who were left wanting more from these two characters. It has depicted strong personalities, the sisters' dynamics, Jo and Laurie's playful banter, and the essence of the book really well.
A very enjoyable read, I will be looking forward to reading the rest!
