I read an advanced reader's copy (ARC) of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me and some other readers with a copy for this purpose.

Like many readers I have read the original Little Women story and seen both of the movies. While some people strongly dislike retellings or reminaginings of the story, I personally do not mind.

While some people yearned to see Jo and Laurie together, I thought it was refreshing that they didn't end up together. However, this was a cute reimagining of how things could have gone if they had ended up together. The pacing was fairly decent for me though it did lag a bit at times. There were moments where I put the book down and then came back to it. Of course the writing style is different compared to the original but I believe the author did angood job of capturing the time period with the writing style.
