Well, I'm not sure. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I think what's hard for me to get past the fact that this is sort of a continuation to a very popular, very well-known story (and obviously, it's not by the original author) and sometimes these kinds of stories are hard for me to grasp onto because the characters, style, feel, etc of the story itself changes. Suddenly now Jo loves Laurie more than a best friend? Is the dynamic going to change? I dont' know, its confusing.
Yet at the same time, the writing is good and I can see where the story is going (or where I think it is) and that does intrigue me a little bit. Its refreshing, and sure, maybe I do want to see Jo and Laurie from a different light.
Whelp, I'm on the fence. The cover gets an A+ from me though for sure!
