This is an absolutely delightful reimagining of Little Women while holding true to the spirit of the original text. Jo's feminist spirit and desire to be considered just as good as the boys in her life ooze through the pages. The prologue had me laughing with her disdain for the title selected by her publisher, and the levity continues through the excerpt. The characters feel at home with one another, as if the setting is inhabited by real people. As a person who wanted Jo and Laurie... this is the story I've wanted since I first read this book in childhood!
I'm always amazed by writing duos; Stohl and de la Cruz have woven a tale effortlessly and there is no hint of two writing voices.
