Ever since I first heard about this story, I was eagerly anticipating its release! Jo and Laurie's relationship is one of my absolute favorites in fiction, but one that I try not to think about because of how much it hurts. I first saw Little Woman when I was four or five, on a car ride home from my grandma's (I know, I know, I saw the movie before I read the book but cut me some slack because I was legit four), and I remember BAWLING. And when I say bawling, I mean I could not be consoled. I sobbed my throat raw and vowed to never see the movie again. It really broke my heart.
But this... THIS! This is just what I need to heal the crack in my soul that "the scene" (you know the one) broke a long time ago. Maybe it'll finally give me the courage to read Little Woman myself.
Overall, I'm super excited! I've read both Stohl and de la Cruz before so I already feel that I'm in good hands! Let the happy ending commence!
