In this book, you meet Sara. She’s a social media influencer, who is visiting Key West, Florida with her family, as a way to celebrate her mother’s remission from breast cancer. After she gets there, she learns her boyfriend isn’t coming. Sara doesn’t want to upset her mother on what’s supposed to be a happy, vacation. She meets Luis. He’s a firefighter who has recently been forced to take time off from work. She asks him to be her fake boyfriend for the week they are there, so she doesn’t upset her mother. He agrees. Both have secrets, and pain in their past. The two try to fight their attraction, and keep their relationship in the friend zone.
I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet, and funny, and heartwarming. It has loving families, and a family that is trying to become that loving family. The characters are all wonderfully written, and really lovable. It was wonderfully written, and you could just picture all the beautiful areas that were described in the book. I’m excited is is the first in a series, and can’t wait to read the others.
