This book, on the offset, was a book I wanted to like. A light, summer read that had the potential to be a great summer romance book. It just really fell flat for me.
From the beginning, I just could not get on board with it. There was too much that just coincidentally fell into place a little too smoothly. Upset lady just happens to see a man who agrees to be her pretend boyfriend? Just super unrealistic, and not something that any woman (or man) that I know would agree to. Most people would find that situation strange, and comfortable. The certainly would not agree to meet the man and introduce a stranger to their family. I just couldn’t get past the safety issues that were completely disregarded.
I didn’t love this book and wouldn’t recommend it, unless you like unrealistic romance stories.
