I wanted to like this so much. It is set in the Florida Keys! How bad could it be? It is very slow moving, loaded with plenty of inconsequential details when all you want is to get to the story. I lost track of how many unidentified flashbacks there were in the first 10 pages, none of which were interesting or telling. I was originally encouraged with this story because it opens with the male character's story, which is unusual in a romantic novel. But his story is so dull. He is a firefighter! That should be exciting and interesting but he is boring and he pouts instead.

While the setting screams 'vacation in a book', it does not take a prominent roll which is a disappointment. There are references to real places and islands, but not enough description to carry you away.
