Island Affair Is a charming, flirty, and fun novel about a whirlwind romance. Given the current state of our world, I was hoping to read something light and easy and this one did the trick. Romance novels are not usually my go-to, but the gorgeous colorful cover grabbed my attention right away. The similarities to another book I’ve enjoyed in the past, The Wedding Date, had me hoping that it would be the perfect choice.
For the most part, I enjoyed this novel. It was a light and entertaining read that allowed me to temporarily escape the problems of the real world. I didn’t fully connect with either of the main characters, Sarah or Luis, although I was still hoping the story would end happily for each. There was some family drama involved with both characters as well, which added to the depth of the story.
Overall, I think fans of the romance genre will be pleased with Island Affair by Priscilla Oliveras.
