Island Affair is off to a great start! The First Look offers two chapters--one from Luis's POV and one from Sara's. We know from the start that both characters are deeply troubled. Sara is recovering from an eating disorder, though we do not yet know which type (bulimia is my guess) and Luis is "fine" after a mysterious accident several years before. When Sara's boyfriend ditches her on a family vacation in Key West, and Luis is forced to take some time off work, it works out perfectly that he can be Sara's fake boyfriend for the week.
Although both characters are obviously dealing with their own darker issues, I can tell this book is going to be fun. However, maybe that's the cover telling me so. The cover screams sweet, fun, and carefree vacation. The combination of the two (fun but potentially dark) has me intrigued. I'm hugely looking forward to this new romance.
