I am not quite sure how to feel about this book. There were so many different ways that the story could have went. I almost stopped reading after the first chapter because a book can only get so sad. You will feel really bad for the mother but then you will think of the children and you will feel really bad for them as well. It is with a heavy heart that you are reading the rest of the book. The book was just okay for me. I was glad that I was reading outside of my comfort zone but it was not what I was expecting. The story told was a good story but it just did not draw me in as much as I thought that it would after the first chapter. I think the author is talented but the book was not my cup of tea.
