I did not know what to expect having not read this author before, and I was overwhelmed by her writing. The story jumped out at me with the mother and two little girls who were so poor, and the mother was taking them to the county. But the way the story is written, I was immediately drawn in and become engrossed. I am clearly loving this book so far! I felt the way the apartment was, the smells, the light, the children. I would be so honored to read this book. Thank you for this chance.
