Such a great beginning. I was instantly captivated by the action in the story. I want to know more about each character and what the future holds for them. You're not quite sure what is happening at the beginning but the well-written prose slowly start to paint a picture of the dark and dirty side of the lives of this mother and her daughters. I'm extremely interested to know where the story goes from here and the background of these characters.
I would note that I think the different perspectives could have been separated better. Perhaps it should have focused on just one perspective per chapter - instead of starting with one daughter then the next chapter intertwining the the cab driver and the mother and having one of the daughter's perspectives in italics. It gets a little confusing when you jump through so many perspectives so quickly.
