Ever since watching the movie 'Wind River' I've been haunted by the shocking disappearances of many indigenous women and the lack of publicity that followed. This book touches on several subjects, the fate of Native Americans in reservations, children in foster care, motherhood and the special bond sisters have and their fight for survival in the system. This sounds like a very emotional read that will have me thinking about it long after I finished it.
