Azure and Rain are three and four when their mother, Loretta, surrenders them to the State. Azure, though younger, is the sister in charge. We shift from her memories to actual flashback of the day their mom surrendered them. It is both beautifully written and heart breaking all at once. This promises to be an emotional story of the two girls and the hole left by their mother when she gave them up.
