Although I would read it and enjoy it, my mom and her book club will love it

As a fan of Louis Erdrich, I was excited to read the first few pages of this book. The lyrical, yet calm, manner in which the narrative voice presents what should be a traumatic event is compelling. I want to know more about these children and how this voice came to be telling her story. My mother, book club denizen extraordinaire, will love this book even more.
