Not my taste, but I can see why others will enjoy it

I was very excited when I first started this book and absolutely loved the imagery of the the prologue. The style was a beautiful mix of history and myth. Unfortunately, for my taste the style and writing is more suited for scientific journal. This is obviously not a flaw of the writer rather a difference in my personal taste. I feel the structure and flow could have benefited from a different style of storytelling. I very much appreciate and enjoyed the idea of using the symbolism and structure of the zodiac to represent her journey through grief and building and exploring the relationship between herself, her family and her family’s history. The journey she goes through is relatable and well shared. While this was not my personal taste I already have a few people in mind who would definitely enjoy the style and I will be recommending it to them.
