I loved the book. It really captured my attention and took me through the author's journey. The book was beautiful, and left me sitting there, book in hand, wondering what I have been doing with my life. Anyway, yeah, it was a good book. I enjoyed the author's writing, which really drew me into the story. The lyrical way she wrote out everything was beautiful. It was an amazing book.
I love the cover art, the intricacy and the blend of colors is beautiful. It's even more vivid in real life. However, the synopsis advertised full color illustrations. I was disappointed to see that all the images in the book were black and white. Maybe it's because it's an ARC copy, but it was disappointing. I loved the brush paintings though, even black and white, it was beautiful.
