The cover art is striking. I was drawn to the book just based on that. As for the first impression, there wasn't much to go off of. I couldn't get a sense of whether the writing style would be something I'd enjoy just based off the few pages provided. The incorporation of fantastical elements into a nonfiction story does interest me and I'd like to see how they mesh going forward.
