I don't read books within the mystical, magical, or fantasy genres, and this one, even though it's a mixture of memoir, has the same feel as fantasy.
I am not pulled into the story very quickly. The cover art and first lines don't pique my interest enough and I normally wouldn't read further. This just isn't my style.
