This is really a book that everyone should read, since this sheds a light on some of the discrimination that others experienced in the Jim Crow south. This isn't the typical story that we hear, and it is good to remember that all people of color experienced some issues in the United States. I really loved the opening of this book, and it would be amazing to continue to read it.
