I thought this was a really interesting concept of writing down and exploring family stories that have been passed down through generations. Chinese culture is so unique and I imagine how their lessons and family history is kept and honored is very different from a lot of cultures. As someone who doesn't have a lot of ties to my ancestors or to my family besides a few generations back, it's fascinating to have stories that are passed down from hundreds of years ago. This was such a small glimpse into what the book is, I would be curious to see how many stories from ancestors is included and how the author would tie them back into their life and how they ended up where they are.
The cover is really beautiful and I believe tied to the Chinese zodiac that was mentioned at the beginning where the structure of the book was discussed.
