I haven't seen a memoir presented like this, but this manages to be unique and well crafted with gorgeous art work intertwined into it. I do read a lot of memoirs, so this is right up my aisle. And I also LOVE history, and this provides a heavily historical context of Alexandra Chan's family. Who, by the way, is a baddie archeologist!
